My RH Campag shifter broke yesterday, and a quick ring round of local shops came up blank for a replacement.
Any ideas on where I can get a new lever?

8 speed is the rarest. You could repair them, it's not easy but I managed it. Also 9 speed Ergos can be converted. Problem with upgrading to 9 speed is you have to change everything including the hub/wheel.

Old git - its only really a training bike now so want to avoid the expense of 9 speed if poss. To be honest I haven't had a proper look yet but looks like to do anything I will need to take the bar tape off and take the lever off.
The next problem is that the barrel has snapped on the rear derralieur adjuster too, I bet you can't just get one of those either...
No need to remove tape to remove lever. Barrel adjusters should be available.
Mercian do spares IIRC?
