Not enough information to be able to make any judgement

More info then...

It's from a respectable manufacturer
Crankset is Shimano FC 550
Wheels are Shimano R500
Frame is a slightly unknown quantity - all I know is it's aluminium & hydroformed
Fork is own-brand carbon
Brakes are Zeus Pro

I can't find a great deal of info on the model as it is not current (2008).

depends on the age of the 105 stuff/ the model of wheels, make of frame etc. Is this a new build or second hand?

My options would be to buy this now, or wait and see if the Boardman Team 2008 comes down in price - it's currently £800, probably a bit better, but there are no garuantees it won't just sell out.

Ok more info... managed to find out that you can buy the frame seperately, supposedly weights about 1.7kg but not sure what size tho...

Is this one of those quizzes where you get more clues as time goes on? 😀

Pretty much... until I buy the thing or give up on it! Is 2008 105 ten speed?

I assume that its an Orbea of some description then.
A couple of small questions - have you ever ridden a road bike? do you know what size you need? if not I'd suggest just going to your LBS and getting some good advice from them and maybe buying a bike from there as well.

Yes, Zeus being an Orbea 'own brand' I'd agree...

105 5600 stuff is 10 speed, that was introduced prior to 2008, but an FC5500 chainset isn't 10 speed. If it's HT2, it's 10 speed.

Agree with aP, fit is crucial, far more so than on an MTB, and more important than getting a good deal. Go see a reputable shop, get sized up properly, if you've no already done so.

If this theoretical bike is brand new and sitting on a shop floor with a warranty and full after sales it seems like quite a good buy, if it's 'new' but second hand I wouldn't worry too much.
