I've read mixed reviews about them online, they seem light at 405 grams, and could be pretty good with 32 spokes and brass nipples for easier rim swapping when they wear out eventually.

Has anybody used them and what were they like?

Thanks
Tim

Why not Mavic Open Pros?

I think Velocity are a bit hard to get hold of over here, hence the lack of replies. You best bet is a US based website, somewhere like this site's forum:

405g doesn't seem particularly light, that's more than my Mtb rims.

I'm thinking about Aeroheads because Open Pros are 135 and Exellites are 130 iirc. I've found Open Pros to spin along quite nicely and quickly, so Aeroheads should be even better is my thinking, and hopefully not too fragile either.

That should be 435 and 430.

Never used them, but Velocity are pretty well regarded rims.
