Afternoon all!

Hoping you'll be able to help me out, in a few weeks time I've got to be in Duns in Scotland for a day (Sunday) I'm planning on traveling Friday, stopping overnight somewhere, mountain biking Saturday and then the same with the Monday when I return.

So far all I'm thinking is lake district... In which case should I be heading to Whinlatter? Or is there better natural stuff to be had? my favourite kind of riding is peak district stuff when at home!

If the Lake district is the place to be what routes should I be doing? GPX files would be ideal..

Thanks in advance

You could come via Tweed Valley. The cycling here is not too shabby.

Thanks, I’ll look into that! Has anyone got any experience in the Yorkshire Moore’s? Any of these routes worth a go?  http://www.pedalnorth.com/content/north-yorks-moors-mtb-routes

Which direction do you intend travelling up? M6 or A1?

A1 = turn off at Scotch Corner and head for Dale's Bike Centre near Reeth
