I'm heading to the New Forest with my wife for a week away in the next couple of weeks and we're going to take our road bikes. I'm pretty happy doing big days but Mrs_H is a bit less used to being in the saddle for a long time so we're looking for some road rides of a few hours or so. I'd suggest target mileage but we ride in the Peaks mainly so don't have much idea of mileage that can be covered on the flat in that sort of time.
Any help for routes, suggestions or advice would be great.

Alternatively, throw the rulebook out the window, and ride on any old path....
Good direction to start is the dismantled railway line. Loads of tracks and paths connecting to it.
