I tried that once. They gave me a BB30 bottom bracket that doesn't creak.

Contador had a 54/42 with an 11/28. From memory he needed to win the stage by 7 seconds to take the overall, no ridiculous climbs, Col D’ Eze I think was the main climb.
Yea........
But even the biggest of STW hitters aren't aiming to win a stage of the Paris-Nice by 7 seconds, however fast their mid week chaingang is.
And unlike MTB's, you can't really go lower at the front unless it's a triple or something obscure then you're stuck with a 34t.
But crucially my 13-28 cassette looks odd, and to some cyclists that trumps functionality!
