Hi guys just replaced my bb on my forme road bike its sram elita chain set and replaced the bb with gpx team bb when installed there is a gap between the bb and inner face of the crank about 3/4mm is this OK there is no play seems to ride with out a problem is this normal I didn't notice before I replaced the bb?

Tis fine,its how they work (no pre load).

Normal, GXP clamps the NDS bearing between the step in the axle and the crank to hold it all together,it prevents the hamfisted from preloading the bearings into premature death.

Thanks for the info should of paid more attention when I removed the old bb 🙂
