Hi all

Do you have any recommendations on makes to look at for road jerseys for the larger man.

I bought a 2xl Altura top and it's fine in the arms and shoulder but a little "tight" over the belly 😀

cheers.

Steve

I'm not small, and although its not anything special to look at I bought some Muddy Fox gear from Sports Direct. Got padded shorts and a jersey for my ample frame for about £30 all in I think. That was 2XL top, seems better quality than the price tag suggests.

The UK brands tend to be more suited to UK people (strangely) so Altura, Endura, DHB and also I often find Gore and Pearl Azumi stuff to be generously cut.

All the brands do race cut stuff such as Endura FS260 which it doesnt matter what size you get it’ll still be for the slim waisted.

Actually that muddy fox stuff may be a shout if your ok with the brand.

Altura stuff is small / tight I’ve found. In most clothes I’m a medium but had to buy large in their jerseys and they’re still a close fit if I’ve been eating a lot that day!

Not a trendy brand but decathlon jerseys are much less fitted.

I've recently started road riding again in a bid to lose the flab, and find Polaris xxl shirts are ok but I use the ones intended to be loose fitting mtb. Not too baggy around my lard arse (48" chest,40" waist) but not flappy enough to make like a sail.

Decathlon is also good as you can try stuff on.

Also Dare2Be when they have some bits in the sale, again 3XL.
