I have a very old battered Endura Air Defence Jacket for the commute at the moment, it's been great tbh, maybe could do with being a tiny bit warmer.
Before I get another is there anything else I should be looking at?
Gore alternatives? Whats the difference between the tool and Contest?
I use a Endura Helium jacket, more layers under for extra warmth
Castelli Gabba for the posh.
But I've been using the Altura convertable night vision windproof. Fairly cheap, but I'm riding in these temps with just a Craft extreme base under. Its not sweaty at all at 12 - 15 degrees either. I've been through a couple of rain showers without getting wet.
Comes up "road fit" though which is more an issue if you have overly broad shoulders.
The Gore Contest is a bit more fitted IIRC
