Sad day, condolences to his family and team mates 😪
Shit. 26 is far, far too young for such a talent.
Yeah, that's tragic
My auntie texted last night to say that in Switzerland, this sad news was on national television.
What a dreadful accident, but, we know this kind of thing is very, very rare.
This young, experienced racer died doing something he loved and was good at.
RIP Gino
Just awful news. I'm a day behind with the highlights, so had no idea about the crash.
It's a brutal sport. Will be thinking of him later on a (gentle) ride home.
Very sad - RIP Gino.
Thankfully, also very rare.
Oh, Gino
RIP 🙁
If anyone would like to make a contribution in Gino's memory to a cause he supported and promoted.

Done. Nice idea. Did he leave a family at all (dependents) ? I wonder what financial support they might get
That sucks.
Years ago I was driving the support van for a transalp tour through Switzerland and happened to be going over the Abula Pass and wondering why there were so many people there.
Ended up watching the finish in La Punt.
It's a crazy descent from the top down into the village.
Done. That’s the closest I’m ever going to get to beating 10 pro cyclists. RIP.
Really nice obituary here:
