I have parents caravan in Kirkby Lonsdale to use.
Can anyone recommend some good rides that are close to there?

Bowderdale 'Classic' starting from Sedbergh just up the road.
South Lakes (Staveley area) is pretty close, if you've got transport.

There's a fairly obvious loop round casterton fell straight out the door but otherwise I think you really need to drive to dales or lakes.

Depends what you are into but the there and back ride to the top of ingleborough is good fun and on the doorstep.
