Off to France next week for mother in laws 60th, obviously will be squeezing my bike soon I can get some respite!

Does anyone know the Coutances area and whether there is any riding to be had? Also, What are the laws in France regarding footpaths bridleways etc? Any advice or suggestions greatfully received.

Mat

There's quite a bit of riding to be had in that area.

Last time we were there we got a pack of route cards from a supermarket.

Nothing very technical but miles and miles of bridleway type trails. Most of them were waymarked for walking , bikes or horse use.

Great that sounds promising! I assuming the terrain is similar to here ( chilterns) ?

Never ridden in the chilterns so wouldn't know. ๐Ÿ˜†

It's kind of rolling terrain with no real steep or long climbs.
