Heading this way shortly and wondering about taking the bike. Any riding nearby? I won't really have time to drive and then ride. Not looking for mega tech just an interesting ride
Head along the north bank of Loch Morar from Bracorina.
Think that's considered the 'classic' of the area, some hike-a-bike, but also some beautiful trail. Just head as far as you can then double back, unless you have the time to arrange the ferry to come pick you up at the other end, but that might be summer only.

Was going to suggest the same, I'm sure there's other riding in the area too. Beautiful area and worth getting out no matter whether you're walking, riding or driving.
Maybe a bit far from where you are going to be but I can think of the rather dull but scenic landrover track along loch Sheil from Glenfinnan then at the southern end at Pollach there is a really nice ( with a bit of hikabike) path over to strontian and a road back to pollach Big climb tho can be done as a circuit from Strontian as well
There is also a circuit on ardnamurchan. From Glenborrowdale take the track / path northish to Achracle then along the coast east to Ockle then back to glen borrowdale on road. ONly time I have done this it was wet and it meant a lot of hikabike with the tandem but a better rider, more suitable bike and drier weather would make it a very good ride - of course you could start at acharacle
The Strontian- Polach trail up past the old lead mines rides much better S to N, as the descent on the Shiel side of the hill is much more fun than the cattle-damaged Sytrontian side. It'll be wet this autumn mind.
I'd def stick to the two mentioned above- the Shiel side track works fine for a gravel bike as an out and back or part of a much bigger loop starting at Glenfinnan, back to Loch Eil, around to Ardgour & Strontian and over the hill to Pollach/Shiel. This is mostly very quiet singletrack roads and that way aroud keeps the gravel for the last third. On a good day, stunning views the whole way around.
Morar out and back is a classic trail ride.
interesting highlandman - I have walked over it and thought north to south would be better.

I'd also say S-N for Strontian-Loch Shiel. If you don't mind a wee bit of pushing then a circuit can be made using Cona Glen to avoid some of the tarmac.

The path along Loch Morar is a beauty. One wee section that will involve a carry/push.
