So yesterday was one of those muddy, sticky, cold, wet, pedal even to get downhill rides. And I couldn't feel my hands or feet for half an hour after I got back, and the bike started making weird noises that may or may not require urgent mechanical attention.
And I loved it. Odd eh?
Are you Belgian?
A few years ago I used to go out in crap weather just to check the weatherproofing of my bike but I went out yesterday through force and not choice and it was bloody miserable TBH - just about all of my waterproofs failed to do their job and when the snow arrived it actually hurt my face.
I still enjoy riding in most weathers but yesterday was simply one of those days that I just couldn't find the enthusiasm for...

Thats completely normal for a masochist.
Years ago I'd go out in any weather, Saturdays were hallowed but nowadays the 'novelty' has worn off.
Was out today in the wind and rain and enjoyed it, only problem was the inappropriate choice of front tyre (Fast Fred)which stuck to the trail like a wet bar of soap in the bath, spent most of my time pulling myself/bike out of local bushes/trees. Lesson learnt, hopefully.........
Yep its odd but I did then same and really had a great ride in poor conditions but I was determined to go......its what sets us apart from the norms 😯
