Does anyone have any info on what conditions are like on the lakes currently? Don't mind sticking to a lower level ride but not keen on driving 1.5 hrs to push the bike around due to snowy trails - I can stay local and do that!

Snowlines about 200m, low level might be ok as it's only just laid the last day or two.

Doing a Bothy ride tomorrow to Mosedale there is a lot of snow about on the tops above 200m as above below that it is pure filth on the trails ๐Ÿ™‚

Low level rocky trails may well be fine- however, forecast is freezing and the snow we have is wet at low-mid levels, so ice may develop overnight and tomorrow.

Thanks all, we've decided to give it a whirl, worst case we can retire to the pub.

I suppose it depends where in the Lakes you are headed. Anything from Ambleside over to Elterwater, Claife and Grizedale should be doable. Going up top may be dicey.
