Just watch out for the moaning Americans ... all the proof you need that you can't ride a bike to 'find yourself' ๐Ÿ˜‰

Just watched it for the first time since riding it.

The film is much better if you haven't ridden it ๐Ÿ™‚

I really enjoyed the film, but it's a shame that they didn't get more of Alan et al. They seem like they had a blast and would have added value. The budget wasn't available for the extra film crew at the time afaik.

Otherwise an excellent documentary.

FYI - I think it is only available on Youtube for a short period. Mary Collier tweeted that it is being taken down tomorrow...

Awesome. Found it a bit odd how they didn't even mention at least 2 other riders who completed that year - the dude in second and the guy who finished with mary (you can just about see him when she rides into antelope wells).

ps. I'm aware of the budgetry issues, however not to even mention them seemed odd to me.

I honestly thought it was crap. They had little imagination and very little budget which i figure was the biggest problem.Would have loved to have seen what Cracknell and Fogles team could of done with it.

The small-budget film was free for a short period to help raise funds/awareness of a charity.

Feel free to illegally get it for free some other way, but you could stump us some cash so they make some money and can afford to do more of the same...

The aim was to get people a link to buy the film, rather than get it for free and not chip in to the charity in the process.
Thank you for the linkage.

Fyi on this... Not "odd" at all. It was pretty daunting to follow me for a MONTH, so the crew had to take a little time off towards the end, which is why you don't see Stephen Gleasner much. Of course, they had to catch me finishing, so you see him there. Also, the pack spread out early on in the race and it was difficult to drive back and forth from Colorado to Montana, so the film crew actually called in a second crew. It would be difficult to catch those good moments if you were concerned with catching everyone. They were going for quality... not quantity.
