Many places selling Reverb B1's for about £60 more than Brand X externally routed droppers.
So....worth splashing £60 more?
Thanks.
Depends on if the Reverb devolps a fault.
£90 upwards for a full service. SRAM no touchign warranty returns if they've not been serviced (proof required).
Id say not from my experience so far
Had reverbs.. Levs and now ascends.
Id say the ascend is better with less to go wrong than the reverb.
Ascend all day long now. Especially now that they do the XL version.
One Reverb has been faultless for 2 years, the other has excessive play and wobble, pretty much straight from the box. Flip a coin...
Can't comment on the brand x though
I love that dropper posts are coming down in price. Makes it tricky for the so called premium brands like Thomson.
Brand-X defo best option. Had reverbs, and plenty of annoying problems. Have an Ascend on each bike now. They're great. Next frame I'll put and XL ascend on.
I’d say it’s not worth the extra unless you particularly want the reverb.
I have the ascend II on my hardtail and the XL on my full sus and they are great. The external one has a wee bit of play but you don’t notice it when riding.
Prefer the lever on the brand x
Both smooth
No trouble with either
Ascend 1 is £90 and the Ascend 2 is £125. What's the difference and which one should I go for? Also, any other discounts for CRC knocking around 🙂
One is stealth cable, the other is not.
Ascend 2 is a great post - personal experience with Reverbs has not been good. 3 months of faffing with warranty on my FS bike meant no FS bike. Thank god I am lucky and have a hardtail as well. Son has just fitted a Brand X 2 - its good as gold and Barring a little extra weight CF the reverb I cannot see any downsides. Got a extra discount with British Cycling as well.
