lol, I did wonder if that was why the original thread vanished! So what's best quality wise, Lidl or Aldi, or is it basically the same gear?

I wouldn't recommend the stand - I bought similar from Aldi and all the clamps are plastic and flex way too much - no chance to wind a BB up to 40N.
