I know its possible to change the outer tube on a reverb from 31.6 down to 30.6 but can you also reduce from 420mm length to 380mm length easily or does it need a shed load of replacement parts?

Have a look at the service videos on YouTube. Pretty sure it's just a spacer in the 420 and nothing in the 380. The only thing you can't change is the stroke length I believe. Well, in theory you can but that takes you so close to the cost of a new dropper it's not worth it.

I believe the IFP height needs changing if altering lengths.
