Right - I'd like to try a 29er singlespeed to see if its for me. Calling upon the STW community to help ๐
Ideally,
Ti frame
daft light build
rigid fork - big front tyre
size: medium
Surrey/south east area.
will gladly bung a few quid to a charity of your choice, as I'll put some money to STW towers too
I'm NOT after buying one right now so please no selling responses!
thanks ๐

If you find yourself in Glasgow, give me a shout.
Got the above but in carbon.
Thanks for the offer - no plans to be that far north I'm afraid
TM
You can have a go on my ti blacksheep with knard 29+ front if you can get to the midlands..light full ti monster moshing madness
Cheers Tazzy - will bear that in mind ๐
Blackheep bikes -that's a new one for me
TM
A few Jones ti's around the SE, people seem to love em or hate em, dunno if it's the kind of thing you're interested in.
thanks Jameso. I know one owner at least - not sure its a 29er though..
Just wanting to see if a light 29er in s/s mode would work for me so not wedded to Ti frames..
anyone else?
TM
Scandals are stupid light too. I'm in Marple near manchester though so not too close to you
Black sheep make seriously pimp custom ti frames...I also have a jones you can play on.
Cheers tazzy. a Jones as well! niiiice!
nbt - might be up that way over christmas - will drop you a line if interested ok?
Thanks

Got a medium Salsa Selma in pretty much the required configuration - but you'll need to get to the Isle of Wight if you want to try it out.
Still, a bit nearer than Glasgow/the Midlands.
BY all means, if we're around at the same time Il'l take you out and [s]rip your legs off[/s] show you the local trails
BTW mine's a 16" so may be on the small side for you?

You can borrow Pennywise if you want, just lock the fork out and leave it in one gear.
Nice skinny steel Niner here, if you do end up in Midlandshire over the yule era.
Large Salsa El Mariachi in Reading and ride the Swinley area if that works?
t_m - I'm about 20 mins from Gatwick in the West Sussex/Surrey border area, i have a large steel rigid ss 29er you could take out for a loop of my local trails if you wanted. E mail in profile.
I'll be ay Thetford over crimbo new year with bikes if any use?
Twiglet...
Near Farnham, Hampshire side
18" Scandal 29er, on one carbon forks, not a stupid light build
2.2 ish Smorgasbord tyres
32/18 ratio
Blimey - what a great response! ๐
Clearly, I need to do a UK wide tour to try out all these bikes ๐
very much appreciate the offers - and I do want to find a medium size bike.
Any more offers?
Thanks folks
TM

I like Twiglets.
Matt
excellent. are both singlespeed?
we have a shared love of meaty flavoured savoury snacks
TM
yes tho both are not currently fully built up but that's no biggie
Twiglets are vegetarian, like me.
I do have a rigid fork for the XC bike, if you cba to install it, then revert it afterwards, you can try it.
I also have a riding buddy who frequents here who has an Inbred 29er SS with a Swift steel fork.
ps fundamentalist SSers will tell you running boing isn't straight-edge, but I think it works quite well. On any kind of technical climb I find it's better to have boing than get stalled on roots and so on.
Cheers Matt, much obliged.
I ride 26 s/s (with boing)and agree its helpful.
TM
Thanks everyone for the offers
I swung a leg over Mings ridiculous carbon cheating bike yesterday. Its a Trek Superfly of some description and quite amazing. The slightest puff of effort sees you speeding ahead, and that coupled with the bigger wheels means you just don't seem to slow down either!
