Im visiting the lakes but decided to not bring a bike as the weather is shocking. Id like to think im an average trail rider however will i die if i rent the cube analog for £19.5 and do both trails (i know i should have brought my bike 🙁 )

You definitely won't die - you can ride a cross bike round without dying (albeit not necessarily that quickly!) and yes I'm fairly average too!

You'll be fine. Great service from the lads and lass there. Book beforehand and don't forget your ID. The trails are fairly tame.

I tried to weigh up if it would be better renting the electric hardtail for £36 so i asked what tyres they both have and his response was mountain bike tyres lol

It was windy... maybe he misheard me

Hi, I did a lakes weekender last year with a couple of non MTB equipped friends who rented bikes from the place there. The bikes are perfectly fine for the red routes and they did not die.

would it have mattered what specific tyre he had said?

Cheers guys.

They were running the standard smart sam.

Ive had a bad experience with smart sams so didnt fancy it

Upgraded to the mondraker ebike (HT) which was a good laugh.

I couldnt fault the service or the bike
