[Closed] remind me - brake lever tied back overnight - cover on or off ?

just doing some fettling and post bleeding going to leave levers tied back overnight to let any residual mini bubbles rise - I think I do this with the reservior covers ON as any air will come out the breathers ? (Shimano XT's)

have bled bottom up then top down so should be eff all in there right enough !!

I always leave them off and it works, that's not to say it won't work with them on.

I always leave the cover on and it seems to work.

You should keep the cover on as brake fluid is hygroscopic i.e. it will absorb moisture from the air.
ETA that mineral oil is not, so ignore what I said.
