looking to shed some weight off my roadbike for summer and have been looking at various wheelsets.

I'm not as au fait with the roadie stuff as I am with MTB.

I've seen these EA70's at Merlin

all are about the £250 mark at about 1650grammes for a set.

any recommendations as to which ones or are there others I'm missing?

Only experience of mavic askiums, similar to the ksyriums. Can't fault em. Proper bearings too.

Cycling Plus has a wheel test this month.

they have the Equipes at 775g F and 930g R = 1705g (scored 8 )

they preferred the Hope Pro3 RS-Mono 747g + 895g = 1642g (scored 9). I've had some Pro3 hubs though and the clicky freehub did my head in.

Mate has the 6700 Ultegras and likes them. Tubeless ready too. Don't know the weight though.

Not sure if they are still around but the Xero wheels are very light for the money. Not the stiffest but 1500g is achievable for 200ish.

Think Quest bikes do the same wheel as the Bracciano just rebranded, yo may get stock there.

I've got the pro 3 rs monos on open pro rims - bought them off bigdugsbaws actually - and they've been very good. Nice solid wheelset, I've had no bother with them at all. Freehub is a bit clicky but if you keep pedalling you don't hear it 😉

Pro lite Bracciano's are light and relatively cheap.
