After some flat spd shoes ideally less than £100, currently have some old 661 filters, but they are useless in the wet as they get incredibly heavy.
Tried some fivetens hellcats but at a size 12 they look ridiculous!
I want them to shed a bit of water so prefer no mesh on the toes etc and stay fairly light when wet.
Not keen on the AM9s.
I've seen the new filters on crc cheap but are they any better ??
Any other thoughts??

Yep like the 2fo cliplites any feedback on water resistance ?
Are the Maltese falcon any slimmer that the hellcats?

They aren't too bad. If It's really wet you'll get wet feet but they don't soak it up too badly so they dry out pretty quick.

They sound good, I did buy a pair of the normal 2fo shoes off eBay a while back, size 46, same size as my other spesh BG shoes but the 2fo's were way smaller so had to sell em on.
How do u find sizing ?
Not sure if to go 47 or 48, I've never been a 48 in anything else before.

2fo's are the best non 'disco slipper' SPD shoe I've used, which is impressive, as the flat version is total turd.

I would say size up, for sure. I'm a 9.5 in 5-10's, went for a 10.5 in the 2fo's

i found the 2fo to be very narrow around the toes so try before you buy

shimano ME7 (i think) is what i ended up with £67 on crc at the time and same weight and super comfy, very durable, done a few weeks in the alps and used for dh and xc.
