As title, just about finished getting all the parts for my Salsa El Mariachi. I went down the Hope Hoops/ Crest rims route and would like recommendations for some rubber to shod them with.
I'm in South Wales and predominantly ride around here, and have Kenda Nevegals on my 26 Inbred which suit me fine. 😀
ignitors as all rounders or racingralph in summer, hans dampf in winter, or maybe some stouts if its grim.
Bontrager 29 3s 2.25 front and rear , awesome in most conditions . Be careful not to get the 29er 3 in the smaller size 2.1 I think it is cos it's a completely different tyre .
Recently fitted some of these...THESE & they seem ok. Roll nice, better than the Nevegals. Quite light at 690g. (29er Nev is 855g). And only £15 each. I'm thinking of getting some more while so cheap.
Specialized Purgatory are excellent and relatively cheap.
Specialized Ground Control are excellent, especially as they're 2bliss ready, so ideal for your Crests
Thanks all, going to have a look at the suggestions, however the WTB at £15 looks like a steal.
I've got the wtb prowlers and they seem good, allthough they're the first 29r tyres I've ever had so not compared them to owt else, on pro2 evo/crest running tubeless
