[#6018471]

Need a new one, must have chain device, torx head and all the fave Allen heads, plus any other new fangled bits iif poss. My current one is an On-one one which is pretty shoddy tbh. Haven't had it long and the keys have started to rust and become really loose. Had a couple of Park tools ones previously but they all seem to disappear...

I just got a Leyzyne V11 for my b'day - 104g's and a smarter leather "wrap":

I'm a happy Hexus user too. The chaintool works fine, and the tyre levers are really handy.

+another for Hexus 11, very good. IMO the chain tool works as well as virtually any standalone one, used on everything including 11 speed chains with success.

Crank bro 17 has it around 10 years, still going strong... only piece of CB stuff I'd ever recommend, but it has to be said those Leyzyne multi-tools are lovely bits of kit

I've got a Lezyne v11 and the CB m17. They both work but the CB is soo much nicer to use and seems to last forever.

Crank Bros 19.
Had it sooo long. All works as well as day one. Allen keys sharp edged etc.
The chain tool has been used lots and does not bend or flex.
Probably the best bikey thing I have.

Another boring recommendation for the hexus, proper kit, it all just works. The tyre levers aren't brilliant but then, most multitools don't even have seperate tyre levers so what the heck.

Hexus.
Best £16 you'll ever spend.

Even better than the half price sale at The £32 Multi-Tool Shop

Has anyone suggested the Topeak Hexus yet..?

I take one to bed with me, just in case.

I married my Hexus.

Ok, perhaps not, but it is excellent.

We'll..... My nexus has been good although all the tools have became very wobbly as if very shortly it's going to fall apart. But in the 18 month I've had it it's been used quite abit and it's been very handy 😉

But unfortunately a new tool is looming 🙁

Well I called at my local halfords tonight, Hexus's were all gone so picked up a Topeak mini18+ instead. Looks v similar, a fiver more expensive, but seems a quality bit of kit.

I'm a big fan of Halfords own brand one:

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_522913_langId_-1_categoryId_242558

I've always been disappointed with other 'big brand' multi-tools compared to this one

Crank Brother Pic Premium. Lovely bit of kit: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/crank-brothers-pica-premium-tool/rp-prod68933

I had a Topeak Hexus 2 last… was made of cheese.

I have a Crank Bros 19. And yes, the only bit of CB kit I'd recommend.

I also have a Pedros one with the tyre levers clipped on the side. That's a good piece of kit too.

I'd recommend topeak in general - I've got an alien 2 which is 12 years old and still going strong.

You, Sir, are only fit to hold a French Army Knife.

Yep, looks lovely that.
But at £45 you could get 2x Crank Bros 19 tools, unless you really need to save 6 grammes.

Birzman
Same as Lezyne and normally pick them up 20%off on Halfords or Cycle Surgery websites so pick one that fots budget/tools
Had a CB19 before I got the Birzman, it was great for about 3 yearsbut then went rusty

Yet another happy Hexus user. Had one for years and when I needed another multitool to put in my new road bike saddle bag I bought another one.
All the allen keys you need plus a torx bit for rotors and the chain tool is excellent.
If it gets loose tighten it up with the key on one of the tyre levers.

My Topeak one has been pretty decent for, must be nearly a decade now. Can't go wrong with it.

Prefer this http://www.parktool.com/product/folding-chain-tool-with-peening-anvil-ct-6-3

To a chain tool on a multi tool

Another vote for the Topeak Hexus - I have two, one in my Camelbak and one in my road bike saddlebag.
