Does anyone have any recommendations for a single helmet for XC and road use? Ideally I'm looking for a lightweight lid with a detachable visor. I'm tempted to carry on with the new edition of my old favourite the Catlike Kompact, but would be interested to hear other opinions before I do.

good ventilation. light. looks ok with visor on or off.
dunno what it costs as my three were free-bies!
I have a Giro phase, will probably replace it with the same again when the time comes as I like it 🙂
Scott do a nice one with a magnetic visor, so it also falls of very easily when you crash and doesn't mangle your face. No idea what it was though.
Bell sweep although the back is a poor design and people complain it's a bit fragile.
SOme other bell top end lids might be worth a look.
