bit ot/probably to far, however we've just done 2 weeks in N Wales, anyway
http://www.totters.co.uk/prices.asp, *parking might upset you, it's in two public car parks about 1 to 2 mins walk away. Pub (with food)on seafront is at car park, we stayed over the road in self catering, it was fine.

or http://www.wigwamholidays.com/snowdonia-and-coast-wigwams, didn't use this but found it as part of holiday research and we used a wigwam for a week at Perth.

Those wigwams look ace, not close enough for this trip! but will certainly send it onto my bro for his girlfriend and kiddie as good price too. Cheers.

MC,

I've stayed at the below for a long weekend a few years ago. There were three of us so we were put up in Room 8, which was is a large downstairs suite.

Really nice but not cheap.

I camped at Cae Gwyn Farm last May bank holiday on the awful Dreaming Tyres trip from hell (Mr MC ruptured tricep tendon within 10 mins on day 1, others carried on without us on day2 BugJungli broke collarbone badly!!!). Wasn't impressed with their camping pitches..ridiclously hideous angle, looked at the B&B though. Deluded i'll take a look but I'm guessing all B&B's are similar price, unless you want to camp there isn't any 'in between' priced accommodation.

We're staying at Torrent walk in Dolgellau this weekend
Bunkhouse with excellent facilities and bike storage.
£12 each for one night or multiple night stay brings it down to £10 each

Stayed here in March which was clean and tidy for about £20 pppn.

The owner was more than helpful and she let us lock up the bikes in the hallway which was reasonably secure.

This place was pretty good location, hosts, bike storage and quality breakfast wise, access to town and Marin trails, cost ok sharing but room was a little small for big kit bags.

stayed here last month bit of a 70's timewarp decoration wise, but very friendly and well used to muddy bikers and they sell real ale and the food is terrific! http://www.tynygroes.com/

There is a B&B in wales where the owner collects clocks. Hundreds of them. They all tick a lot and chime every 15 minutes ALL NIGHT!

Its Near Afan??? It's hell.

Try the Glan Aber hotel in B-y-C, they have a bunkhouse out back. Cheap and cheerful, tiny rooms with bunkbeds (sleep 2 per room), but warm, clean, equipped with showers and drying room and the breakfast is top-notch. Late bar in the hotel too.

Bullandbladder looks like you may well have come up trumps! That looks like our thing, all the B&B's are about £65 a night that versus £7 for camping but nowt in between! Thanks for the recommendations the B&B's look lush but or a 2 night break away for some cheap skates ..... 😉
