Sick of taking my bike apart to get in the boot.
Looking to get it on the roof.
Any suggestions?
I had a 53 reg A3, think I might still have the Thule foot pack in the garage - but not home 'till Thursday night....
....if it's the 3 door, the front bar had a 'pip' which located in a hole at the top of the a pillar/roofline; the rear bar hooked under the rubber seal of the rear window. Not particularly elegant, but it worked.
I've got the 5 door.
Old shape or new?
Mines the old shape and the Thule foot packs make my car leak.
Get a towbar fitted.
I have the 8P chassis 2007 5 door.
The Thule foot packs don't leak but you do have to wind them up rather tight.
Also have the towbar as it's easier - FYI, the Golf and Fabia are the same towbar so eBay is your friend 😉
Can't go wrong with anything Thule IME.
