[Closed] Recommend me a bike rack for a Volvo V50

Hi Coyote i would recomend you have a look at the saris bones rack.My wife and i have used it on both our cars and it is the best rack we have ever had.It is very easy to fit and good to look at as far as bike racks can be.There is choice of coulors to match your car.I would say have a look at there web site it is very well made and the price is not bad for the product of this class.It costs about £135 but well worth it imo.Hope this helps.

got a towbar?

if yes... thule rideon - get the one for 3 bikes, it can carry 2 bikes really easily (the 2 bike one is a bit of a faff).

if not... get a towbar, then see above.

Throw them on the roof with Volvo aero bars and Thule racks.

I have had four bikes on mine.

I used the Thule roof bars & rack too. It means you can open the boot with the bikes on the roof too.
Just changed my car for an xc60, and reused the bars & bike rack, but I have the v50 Thule foot pack & fitting kit in the garage if your interested in buying them before they go on eBay?

I've got some Thule tailgate rack that don't use straps, but solid metal gubbins. Work great, I would highly recommend it if they make it for the Volvo too. Feels very safe, not easy to remove either in case you are worried about leaving it on the car.

It doesn't become as small as a Saris when unpacked though mind. Mate's got a Saris and just puts that in his front seat when he takes it off.
