With the ABP's
Does the wheel just slot in and out like a normal rear dropout?

Remove the skewer completely and then the wheel comes out as normal!!

Yep sure does. The skewer threads through the ABP and wheel hub bit like a bolt through and screws into a cap on the cassette side. It then tightens up like a QR.

Yes it does but the QR doesn't.
You need to completely undo and remove the skewer, then the wheel drops in the normal way.
