[Closed] Rear tyre choice for a Whyte T-129 SCR

Calling any Whyte T-129 owners (with the single chain ring version)...

I've been running with the stock supplied Mavic Crossmark as a rear tyre for a year and half now (albeit with a like for like replacement - the tyres don't last that long with lots of riding miles!)

Does anyone have any real-life experience with something different at the back there? There's very little space at the rear on this bike which is probably my only real criticism of the bike in general. I've also got mine hooked up to some new DT Swiss XM-581 wheels with 30mm wide rims so they balloon up even more.

The Crossmark are very fast tyres but a little prone to getting nicks in the sidewall, I don't mind more weight for robustness but just really not sure what else I can actually fit into this frame?
