Morning all,

I'm looking for a little bit of shock advice. I have a Fox RP23 boost valve shock from a bike I'm selling, that I'd like to add to a Zesty I picked up recently, instead of the RP2 supplied.

I have no problem getting the shocks out of the frames, all pretty straight forward. The eye to dimensions are the same too, going well so far!

However, the hardware is different dia's ๐Ÿ˜ฅ I need some advice on switching the hardware over, ie how do I get it out without stressing the shocks? Simple or a job the LBS? Or will I need a new hardware pack for each shock unit? Looks like they both have Aluminium top hats pushed together? Not done this before so any advice much appreciated!

Thanks

The spacers/top hats are pressed in, wrap in insulting tape and put in a vice and twist and pull

as above use some molegrips or pliers of some sort if you've no vice, and bit effort to pop the "mounting hardware" out of the eyelets, a few external scratches aren't going to affect there performance.
