The flat one you know that the chain passes over.
How important is it. Noticed last night than mines snapped off.
If vital can you replace that half of the cage shimano xt from 2-3 yrs ago?

Not important and no you cannot buy the bits.
Just continue riding and bask in the glory of the unique weight saving.

And if you have to mend the chain next to the trail on a cold wet night you can't feed it round the wrong side and end up with the choice of re doing the chain or part dismantling the cage and losing the bits.
Said he speaking from bitter experience.
