I use a specialized numbus. Very tough tyre. Two punctures in 3 years of daily commuting. One due to the rim tape, and one bl**dy big nail that went through the side rather than the protected bit.

The Marathon punctureproof- can't remember the silly name- is indestructible... But heavy, and sort of dead feeling.

Schwalbe Marathon Plus. I've been using the 26"x1.35" tyres. They are puncture-proof, heavy and made the handling feel odd (until I got used to them).

Another for schwalbe marathon plus been using the 700x25c for a while zero puncture's and grip like sh1t to a blanket only prob is they are heavy but who cares on a winter training run or commute when the last thing you want is a dreaded P ๐Ÿ˜‰

SChwalbe Ultremo DD if 700x25 tyres are required.

Yes, the Marathon Plus are about as puncture proof as you can get, and they last ages, though are rather heavy.
I'm now trying the Marathon Supreme, apparently they are nearly as puncture proof, but a fair bit lighter.

Schwalbe Durano Plus. Almost as puncture proof as Marathons, but a real "road" tyre. 1000 miles and still no puncture. Not cheap but good in the rain too.

EDIT: If you want heavier, then Marathon Plus - I've NEVER had a puncture on the tandem. But not what I would call a road tyre.

Marathon plus are a bit fat for my frame. Probably 23 max. Anyway thanks for the suggestions so far.

I know very little about road stuff, but I am amazing at getting punctures. I run Halo Twin Rail Couriers on my town bike and they seem pretty resistant to me. I mainly got them because they are bright green, to be honest...

+1 for the Bontrager Racelite Hardcase. Over 3000 miles on 2 sets and not one puncture. I fitted a set to my daughter's commuter bike as well and she hasn't had a puncture in several hundred miles either. Cheap as chips too.

My new Conti GP4000s tyres punctured in the first big rain shower this summer on my commute home. They are a fast great grip tyre but certainly not puncture resistant in the wet. I think there are tougher tyres out there.

Probably 23 max

Definitely look at the Durano Plus in 23C. Been running mine on my fixed commuter and they are great.

Schwalbe Big Apples here - pretty damn rugged on road and casual trails.

Marathons are good but difficult to put on and heavy and a bit dead.

Used 26" Nimbus a good while back and they were ok.

Used Bonty Hardcase in normal (700x28) and All Weather (700x23) guises and I'd vote for them both...probably prefer the All Weather for 'all the time, most weather conditions' commuting.

These threads seem to appear weekly these days and not seen so many fans of Bontrager hardcase before - I like them too, will use Race X Lite 25c again this winter.

Conti Gator skins. 12 of us rode to Rome last year. The 6 of us running gator skins had no punctures at all. The others all had multiple punctures.

If you're worried about wear rate, a rear is finished after 1250 miles...

Not had a puncture on my Gatorskins yet (2000+ miles). My commute takes me through Cheetham Hill, Harpurhey, Monsall and Gorton (s**t holes), so lots of smashed glass.

Panaracer ribmo for sure. Doesn't have the incredible weight of the marathon plus but I've yet to have anything penetrate the carcass.

The schwalbe marathons are indestructible but with a severe weight penalty. They've been used by several round the world cycle adventures.

I wouldn't use either on a racey bike though.
