I think any bar by J Jones is a well thought out and comfy handle bar.I know they are dear but after you use them anything else feels wrong.Had H bars now on the full loop , more room ,gear friendly if thats your bag, ace

I have been using these for the last year. Very comfy [img] [/img]

If you don't mind falling out with the anti bar end crowd, they are great for long days out. 😉

Carnegies work for me. I used to get sore wrists and numb 3rd & 4th fingers on regular bars. Carnegies and ESI Chunky grips solved both problems.

The old test for this used to be:
hold a pencil in each hand with your arms dangling
shut your eyes
keep your wrists loose
raise your hands to where you want the bars to be
open eyes
where the pencils are pointing gives an indication

The best bars I ever rode with were on a 1950s Triumph Thunderbird. Lovely sweep, perfect angle.

I get funny looks for my bars, which are normal risers, with ergons on the end, but with a large pair of bar ends inboard of the controls. Gives several hand positions. Great for big days out.

i use ergons on flat bars on my LHT. they make my wrists hurt, i think it is the flat bars, not the ergons.

i use ergons on my f/s with sunline v1's with no pain.

tried mary's, carniegies and fleegles to no avail.

so i might try risers and ergons on the tourer.

Ritchey do some less extreme Carnegie type ones - I ran them over the summer and they seemed pretty good for me - I find the Carnegies a bit too much in the normal position although weirdliy quite like them run upside down !

Drop me a mail if you want to try them as I will be taking the off the bike at some point soon. Also have some 17 degree salsa flats which I'm not quite sure of yet - the only thing with the Salsa's is that because they don't have the forward sweep you need to run a longer stem
