Time for a bit of dirty dropbar pre-gravel action with this 54in(?) Stooge Tracker.

Good to see Andy doing so well with Stooge. Great designs at a fair price.

I just need a bit more bravery and jump in.

Cant fault the bike in anyway and have been tempted with another for sometime.  I have only ever seen one other of mine, don't think that many were made.  The regular steel frame are more popular and see occasionally out on the trails and they are great for ripping around on.  Definitely worth a look.

I like almost all of that, but I am looking at the bars and brakes and I can't imagine a scenario where they'd be good. Can you ride comfortably on the hoods? Seems like a halfway point between flats and drops without the benefits of either

I have never really owned a road bike so cant really compare with standard road drops.  The hoods I think are not far off standard road bars and then they flare out.  The flared out element of the bar I love and find you can really control it when off road as the width makes the bike pretty stable.  I have ridden a couple of mountain bike events on this bike (not sure why I didnt use my Mtbs) but was great on the descents, albeit they were more endurance XC events not Enduro or DH.

Not that it bothers me but... yeah. I'm trying to work out the hand position for riding on the hoods on a flared drop bar and it doesn't feel comfortable!
