This one has been dug out of the submission archive, mainly inspired by the recent HB912 project from Hope.

Blimey!

It was a rather good bike, that.  And When I said I'd only replace it with an HB.130 I lied...I went and got an HB.916 which I still have.  The 916 is a better bike, mainly due in no small part to the much more up-to-date geometry, but also the mid-high pivot and 29/29 or 27.5/29 compatibility.

Though that has not been left gathering dust due to the Forbidden Druid E, again with newer geometry but also a muckle motor.

@teethgrinder - nice!
What's the HB916 like?
That's my lottery win bike.

Very nice.
Did the hope stuff come multi coloured or did you speck it that way?
Never going to see someone else with the same bike :-)

It's very good. When I had my Kenevo SL I was riding this and that 50:50, and the 916 is a better bike regardless of the lack of motor.

Bought it as a frame and shock, reusing some parts off the 160 and buying others new in sales...waited 5 months for it after putting the deposit down.  The 916 is a mk1, so not SRAM Transmission compatible, even though it has a UDH.  Butty box is a gimmick IMO - of it was an option I wouldn't have chose it.

I spec'd it like that. Was going to go for the full team green at first, but then thought nearly everyone would be doing that. Most of the few I saw in the wild were indeed TG.

I sold it last year as it just wasn't getting used, then just recently saw it for sale marketplace. Had silver pivot hardware.

My HB160 was the best bike I ever owned. Suited me perfectly. Much missed.
