Have we done this 'interesting' take on stemology?

Higher bars are coming back it seems but you could fit one hell of a multitool into that space.

Be More Bikes linky

I think I'm out. 😊

I started a thread on it a while ago.

My question was, wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to just buy BMX bars instead?

I think it would be absolute genius with a second set of bars fitted just above the headtube with, say a 30mm stem...a bit like the usual set.

His instagram has exactly that set up. To demonstrate how much better his stem is.

Funny one, it looks like it wouldn’t be comfortable doing seated climbing, and feel crazy short on the downs, but the chap is winning races, so…

You know how you occasionally get Halfords bikes with the forks mounted back to front...?

This looks like the same mechanic has fitted the stem too...

Also, just had a look at his website and the waiver you need to sign, on buying the $400 stem, absolving him of responsibility should your stem explode and kill you to death.

Strong ‘NOPE’ vibes.

People on reddit found his race results and they're not good tbh. Seems like he overexaggerated that fact. Quote from reddit:

https://www.rootsandrain.com/rider12580/bronson-moore/results/

He wins races with 4 or less people at one course, which he apparently rides really frequently. Even at the course, he's had some back of the pack finishes with larger groups.

Here's a video (timestamped) showing him in one of the races, he looks like he's all over the place.

Ah, looks like those wins are all ‘in category’ too. Times aren’t too bad though, top 10% at his last one.

Also, HOW MANY categories?

I'd imagine that (if the initial idea works) you could sneak in a hinge somewhere along it so that you could flip forwards and down "when/if needed"

I got into a bit of a you tube hole last night after work and watched Seth's bike hacks /berm peak video on this .

He said it felt really good going down but not so good going up , he did quite a good job of explaining the theory behind it .

Even if it works brilliantly it's still dead ugly  😁
