I liked the look of these from what was on show at eurobike. does any one know if there's any more information floating about, or when they'll be available?

Order in and waiting for them to land. Which won't be for about three months.

We're doing a titanium version with sliders too!

I really wish you hadn't said that about a ti version!
will that feature the headtube box?
Will the standard model come in the same colour as the eurobike one? it looked great.

I think the 16in one was 5.1lb which sounds about right as it's effectively a Blue Pig tubeset, with a 10% lighter downtube and lighter rear dropouts.

No plans for the head tube box on the Ti, as it's not really needed there. It would just be extra foof, more heat, and Lynskey get funny about things like that.

Piglet will come in "illegal ivory" (as shown) and golden delicious green.

That piglet looks yum. 🙂

Is there any stiffness/performance benefit to the three finger chainstay? I remember it being a great solution to chainsuck/clearance but I wondered why its there instead of a 'normal chainstay on the QED singlespeed...

seems little point in it being there instead of a 'normal chainstay on the QED singlespeed...

I was sat on the toilet the other day when I thought the same thing!

Currently revising the QED to have a "not 3 finger" chainstay 🙂

Which will save weight AND money 🙂

Have to say the Piglet is the one I'd be considering.

Is it designed to take a bit more than 120 travel? Have some Talas forks and whilst they'd be run at 120 most of the time, it would be nice to use 140 on the downs.

Is about three months the ETA for the revised pig and pig x too?

I'm thinking an 'illegal ivory' piglet with 120mm a bolt through fork is my next 'must have' bike.

Oh Brawn... that's really good. Hora named the frame Blue Pig, the, er, Blue Pig you know... but don't tell him cos he doesn't know. It came up in a thread beginning of 2009 I think, as a good name for a bike 🙂

Hey D. Yeah, we changed again. Too many blues, and I didn't like that other one. Colin's putting it on the system, Frank's got to OK it all yet though. Can we talk like this here? 🙂

Lynskey are making the first sample as we speak. Drawings proofed printed and passed last week, started cutting metal on Monday.

Essentially, it's the same tubeset and dropouts as the TD:1 with a straight seat tube, and a 44mm head tube to allow it to run tapered pimp forks.

Why's there a 17"? It's unusual to see a range with sizing that close together

Why's there a 17"- isn't that a bit too much overlap?

It evens up the distribution over the 16in and 18in sizes, and suits those people who are torn between the 16in and 18in sizes 🙂

Not that I'm in the market for a new bike this year, but hats off to you for offering 16/17/18" options. It always amazes me how many (big) manufacturers expect you to compromise on frame size. Yes, I know you can't offer a size for everybody, but one inch increments, particularly at this juncture, just seems very sensible.

its also sensible with frames coming in at 14 inch too ! (thats for tiny people) 😉

Saves about .3lb over the regular FatHeadTubing. So around 5.3lb with the same dropouts.

The Swopouts do add some weight, so that's why we're doing a "regular dropout" version.

It's a thought. Saves about 1/3rd of a pound too. We'll see what Lynskey say about splitting production.

What particular aspect of the on-one do you find stupid? We've already ascertained the 14in frame has a 23.1in top tube - I wonder if that's what you mean by stupid?

Whoops - someone made a boo boo.

Don't you guys know you NEVER critise a design.
it's like calling your mates wife ugly, or his kids thick. Everyone knows it - you don't HAVE to say it out loud. You'll just piss them off!

& fwiw what IS stupid about the design?
the job of the bike frame is to keep the wheels, saddle and stem apart. as long as it does that, I'm happy.

Glad you've postponed an "alu" piglet version. Would be unprofitably mainstream.

The Ti piglet looks ACE! I really wish it's not that good to make me have second thoughts about my ti Pig! Could you add some vertical curve to the seatstays? While it might not be more resilient, it would look like it and thus appeal to more confort-seekers (who i suppose make up the 120-130mm travel Ti HT buyer party).

I also think that an OX piglet would make even better sense and you might get away with building the standard tubing one at all!!!!!
Any changes to the Ti Pig by the way (apart from the dropouts)? Can i sent my frame back 2b "Ragley" engraved????Can i?

The Ti frame looks fantastic. Though maybe I'm being awkward but given the option I'd prefer a non slider vertical drop out version aswell.

Interesting, I wasn't expecting this as the on-one 456 jumps from 21.5" ett for the 14" to 23" for the 16".

I'm 5'7" but prefer a slightly smaller bike, hopefully the 14" blue pig will be perfect because I feel the current 16" blue pig is probably a bit big for me.

we're in the dark here, come on, give us some new info. How's the piglet Ti prototype like? Sizing? I suppose it would be best to get one size up against the BPig.
How do you expect people to place 2011 pre-orders??? :-p

Once you have it built, it would be good to have some ride feedback?

piglet will have his headset fitted tomorrow, then built up ready for my burfdy on thursday.

nothing flash, all donor parts from the retiring rock lobster

lx and slx drivetrain, xt 160/180 brakes, revelation 426s at 130mm, ragley seatpost, sdg saddle, easton 75mm stem and 710mm bars, v12s, some wheels of some kind and kenda nevegals

liking it so far tho, frame detailing is good and impressed by the bolt on hose guides, very neat idea. gonna be tricky deciding where to put all the stickers 🙂

oh and if you were wondering how green golden delicious green is? very. kermit the frog green. really nice
