Brant, I take it the Ti piglet is going to retail at a similar price to the Ti pig?

Cheers,
Rusty

14" frames (effective top tube mainly) - especially the Blue Pig & Piglet?

572mm (22.5in) on the Blue Pig
588mm (23.1in) on the Piglet

Designed to enforce short stems ๐Ÿ™‚

Any news on the ElectroPig yet Brant?

๐Ÿ™„

Aye - kind of TD:1ish pricing.

Designed to enforce short stems......

And prevent the use of the bikes by women!

23inch top tube on a 14inch frame - your having a laugh.

I agree Rik. They'd fit me well, but are immediately off my list for Kate. I'll talk to Kate about Adele's frame.

Saves about .3lb over the regular FatHeadTubing. So around 5.3lb with the same dropouts.

The Swopouts do add some weight, so that's why we're doing a "regular dropout" version.

Brant, will the Ti Piglet be available with vertical dropouts, not sliders?

It's a thought. Saves about 1/3rd of a pound too. We'll see what Lynskey say about splitting production.

Seen the Nukeproof SNAP?

What particular aspect of the on-one do you find stupid? We've already ascertained the 14in frame has a 23.1in top tube - I wonder if that's what you mean by stupid?

Whoops - someone made a boo boo.

Don't you guys know you NEVER critise a design.
it's like calling your mates wife ugly, or his kids thick. Everyone knows it - you don't HAVE to say it out loud. You'll just piss them off!

& fwiw what IS stupid about the design?
the job of the bike frame is to keep the wheels, saddle and stem apart. as long as it does that, I'm happy.

Glad you've postponed an "alu" piglet version. Would be unprofitably mainstream.

The Ti piglet looks ACE! I really wish it's not that good to make me have second thoughts about my ti Pig! Could you add some vertical curve to the seatstays? While it might not be more resilient, it would look like it and thus appeal to more confort-seekers (who i suppose make up the 120-130mm travel Ti HT buyer party).

I also think that an OX piglet would make even better sense and you might get away with building the standard tubing one at all!!!!!
Any changes to the Ti Pig by the way (apart from the dropouts)? Can i sent my frame back 2b "Ragley" engraved????Can i?

The Ti frame looks fantastic. Though maybe I'm being awkward but given the option I'd prefer a non slider vertical drop out version aswell.

That piglet does look great! Any chance of a 26" xc race bike, or do I need to take the leap to 29 and the TD:1?

Interesting, I wasn't expecting this as the on-one 456 jumps from 21.5" ett for the 14" to 23" for the 16".

I'm 5'7" but prefer a slightly smaller bike, hopefully the 14" blue pig will be perfect because I feel the current 16" blue pig is probably a bit big for me.

we're in the dark here, come on, give us some new info. How's the piglet Ti prototype like? Sizing? I suppose it would be best to get one size up against the BPig.
How do you expect people to place 2011 pre-orders??? :-p

Once you have it built, it would be good to have some ride feedback?

first ride this morning and have to say this is a bloody brilliant bike

i'm 5.11 but with a long back, or short legs according to the wife. got a 16" frame and it fits like a glove. nicely stretched out, slackish head angle so feels very stable downhill, which i thought it would, but it also climbs like crazy.

front end is nice and stiff, thanks to the gusset. loads of mud room, at the back. feels pretty comfy too. with the steeper seat angle feels like i'm sitting in the bike, right in the middle, very confidence inspiring.

its really flickable and just downright FUN to ride. was making motorbike noises in my head the whole way round, braaap ๐Ÿ™‚

if you're even remotely tempted just buy one. superb

spec is unremarkable but works:

RockShox Revelation 426 forks at 130mm
LX gears
XT 180/160mm discs
Easton Vice 711mm bar
Easton 75mm stem
Ragley Spike seatpost
SDG Bel Air Ti saddle
v12 knock offs
Kenda Nevegals 2.35 and 2.1

[img] [/img]

and these cable/hose guide thingies are fantastic, makes for a really neat build, and quiet too, no cables slapping around

I have to say that the Piglet looks like a great frame

good to see such a large range of sizes. So many of these frame only deals are in a very limited range of sizes

Tyre clearance is the same as the Blue Pig, which 650B x 2.3's fitted, apparently, so yes.
