hey guys

I've got my place on the mega this year - quick question to those who've done it before - what time is the race itself held? Is it reasonable to think I'd be able to get to geneva for a 9pm flight afterwards - or does it run late and all the roads screwed up etc?

google maps recons 2 and a half hours, add on an hour to get in the car and an hour to faff at the airport, I'd need to be all done by 16:30 - realistic?

Thanks!

Hugh

I was at Calais and on an 8pm ferry when did a couple of years ago. To do this though I'd driven the car down the day before and left it at the finish. If you have to get back to ADH and qualify for the last race it'll be tighter but still totally doable.

I would say it's probably doable yeah - are you talking about the Sunday though? You don't know which race you will qualify for yet!

Nice to see you have already assumed you will qualify for the main event.

You should be able to make your flight easy, assuming you make and finish the race. The race should only take 1:30hours max (infact that would be slow) if have qualified for it unless you crash or have bike issues. So you will have lots of time to get your flight. Just make sure you all packed and ready to leave ASAP. Some of teh roads get a bit busy but nothing too heavy, that said I don't go to geneva to get home, so can't really comment on the traffic in that direction.

I'm working on the assumption I'll get into Sunday's race as its the last race - so the latest case scenario. If I don't get in, then no worries, I'll still make my flight.

Thanks for the help - I'll go ahead and book

Hugh

latest case scenario is that you dont qualify for main event... then you would be 4hrs or so later than if you had...

IIRC...
