I've just bought a race face turbine stem and I've noticed that when the face plate is fully tightened there is barley any gap left between the stem body and face plate although the instructions state there should be about 0.5-1mm gap left .its more of a hair line .but the bolts are tight and the bars (renthal carbon) seem firm .im only really asking as I had to send the first stem back as when fully tightend the bars still moved .
When you say the bolts are tight, what have you torqued them too?
Just normal tight.havnt got a torque wrench but used my park tool turned till wrist tight then an extra nip .could go a bit more but just hasn't got the normal 1mm gap left I'm used to seeing .maybe it's designed this way .
