Trying to fit some Fox forks, only the brake disc is running against the side of the fork. Is it just a matter of bunging a washer on to move it out a fraction?
Also, is there any reason not to run the steerer tube uncut for a while until I'm sure what height I want the handlebars? It only sticks out about an inch.

Some hubs will make contact with fox forks, my king did.
Fine to run steerer at full length just to set up as long as you have the correct amount of spacers, top cap e.t.c.
I wouldn't recommend falling on it though.
