Anyone here ridden this event?

I fancy doing the 2015 event and would like to hear from riders who've ridden it before.

Was it a good event? Would you ride again? What's the cake like? Is there any cake?

Can't really see the point, the start is only about 4 miles away, why should I pay to ride where I can ride any time for free. ๐Ÿ˜€

With the Explorer they try to include a bit of private land only usable with the landowners permission, each year.

It works for me as it's an excuse to travel the 2 hours to Quantocks and take part.

I could do that any weekend but this is just an excuse to get out and ride 8)

So? Any feedback from previous participants?

PS; I use the Exmoor Explorer as a similar excuse to ride Exmoor.
