What's it like down there at the moment.
Thinking of coming down for a couple of days next week. The weather doesn't look brilliant, the deciding factor might be what the ground conditions are like.. If it's all a sloppy boggy river the 200 mile drive might not be worth it...!!

Not too bad... wet in places which hold water but on the whole the ground is still soaking it up. Triscombe is a bit more sheltered so in good shape if a little greasy.

Quantocks trails mostly drain well and are good in all weather in my experience. You have Triscombe too which also tends not to get very boggy even in bad weather.

I'm up the north end, trails v dry at the moment all the way through to triscombe. Most places dry including those last to dry-first to fill puddles. Some areas where things all come together like crowcombe gate get muddy what ever at the slightest drop but elsewhere decent enough.
Lots of overgrown braken about though, some of the runs down to holford vegetation fairly much head height!
Quantocks generally drain v rapidly, I've been out the day after rain and it's all dust and rocks everywhere. At the moment Tuesday looks pretty decent on the wether front. It said it would rain today but got nothing...

A bit wet on the surface from a shower this morning but trails riding well - Smiths was pretty dry once under the trees.

Hang on, no it's all rubbish, don't come
... there's nothing to see... all the trails have been bulldozed...
