I've a giant floor pump that's great, but the chuck got tubeless gunk in it and after taking it apart to clean it out its now either too tight for valves or blows off. I suspect I lost a bit.

Recommendations for a replacement chuck? Preferably one with a single hole that does both valve types, the hose is 12mm diameter

I'm interested too.

I DON'T recommend the Truflow Track Mate head though - absolute crap IME. Tried it in place of the original head on my Lifeline track pump but it was fiddly to attach and wouldn't seal properly on any valve I tried.

I'm currently reusing an old head from an Aldi track pump (broke the handle on that one) which works fairly well, but I'm still in search of a better head for track punp that lives at work.

I've just got one of these: https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/pumps/lezyne-dual-valve-pump-head/

2 holes rather than 1, but seems good after the first 2-3 weeks

I replaced my Topeak one with a Lezyne screw on.

Don't do that.

Luckily the LBS had given it to me until they could get a new Topeak.

@5lab I think it's 8.5mm OD, 3.5mm ID. I can check the OD later on if you need

I don't recommend the birzman, I sent one back as faulty but was told it worked as it should do... utter tripe.

For a T shaped one with 2 holes and a lever to 'lock on', I picked up one from Decathlon to use on my aged Topeak track pump. Cheap and been reliable in the 4-5 years I've had it.

For a presta-only, the Silca ones are supreme.  Their Hiro is a work of art and wonderful (makes pumping up a tyre nearly a pleasure !).

L

Or for a push on / pull off, I got one of their stainless steel straight chucks.

No more bent Presta valve core stems.

That Trueflow unit A11y doesn't recommend is a copy of a fricken expensive one I bought from Japan (Hirame / Kuwahara pump head), only to find the cheap copies afterwards and only does presta IIRC.. though I like 'mine'  a lot, it lives on my Aldi compressor (I think they both cost the same amount), but I think occasionally you have to mess with the chuck and not just the leaver

I used to think Joe blow heads were ok, but they seem a bit poor knowadays (& it has two outlets)

(^^^ again the Silca Hiro looks the same as the Hirame / Kuwahara pump head)

I got my replacement from decathlon.

Two sided but perfectly functional.

do folks with the double-head ones find they fail to blow out of the correct head sometimes? I had that issue on an old pump (2 holes, one lever jobbie), was super faffy
