Hi,

Never been that keen on the feel o the servo on Shimano brakes and looking for better modulation. I know some people say running XTR race levers provides better modulation with hardly any reduction in power.

Any real world testing of this and if so what are your views. Also can I retro fit the M9000 levers to what's left of an M785 system?

Cheers

You can, or you could try the newer XT M8000 levers - more power than the M9000, and a less aggressive servo wave that the M785s.

There is plenty of modulation on Shimano brakes, but it can take a little while to get used to.

Cheers. Had 785's for a while and whilst they're great brakes I would prefer a little less aggressive initial bite.

I have some 987 XTRs and they definitely have less bite and power compared to the servowave levers like the 785s.
