XT 11sp LinkGlide setup (shifter, cassette, mech) £150-160*  plus another £10-20 for chain of your choice:

Shifter, XT 11sp SL-M8130, eBay £29.99

Cassette, 11sp 11-50t CS-LX700-11, Sport & Leisure, £69.99 (* I snagged a cassette at £60 elsewhere but now OOS)

Mech, XT 11sp RD-M8130, Paul Milne Cycles, £59.99

Can use any 11sp chain so I didn't include that in the above cost - it doesn't have to be LinkGlide-specific, but there is the 124-link CN-LG500 for £12 from Sport & Leisure

Appears good value to me. Shifter/mech/cassette for the same cost as the SRAM XG-1275 cassette I'm currently burning through on my ebike and should be more durable.

I absolutely love 11 speed these are great deals, thank you. Only needed a chain but that’s a decent deal. Nice one

BUT... I want to resist and see how long my knackered phone will last - that's free, unless it gives up right after the sales.

the 15% google referral code stacks with the current pixel offers too. So the pixel 10 can be had for £479 + trade in value. I'll happily share a referral code if anyone wants one.

Rgs, Matt

Cheaper, lighter and 51 rather than 50?

As captaintomo says above, not LinkGlide. Its own little ecosystem. No compatibility - other than chains - between 'normal' 11-speed and LinkGlide 11-speed. Different cog spacing. Benefit is supposedly 3x durability and built to cope with the higher forces involved with an e-bike. Or so it says.

I recently made the switch to 11 speed link glide from 12 speed Deore XT and very happy.  Same shifter and derailleur as shared earlier but the lower tier LG400 50t cassette as found a decent deal at the time. Definitely feels more solid than the 12 speed but only about 200 miles in so far so can't comment on the 3x durability claim.

Linkglide isnt 3x more durable but it does work very well. Small cogs still wear out if your churning them on an Ebike but with the XT linkglide cassette you can replace the smallest 4.

Put linkglide stuff on my wife's ebike recently.  Much as above but a U6000 mech, which is a bit cjheaper.  Seems to work but hasn't been fully challenged with shifting under power etc as yet

My eleven speed 5100 mech and XT shifter worked with a Linkglide cassette. I only did it as an experiment but once b tension adjusted for 50t instead of 50 it was fine. I have a cheap Linkglide cassette now if anyone interested!

@quentyn OnePlus are discounting a number of phones. I bought the higher memory version of the Nord Ce5 for Mrs Mellie with a free case. Bundle prices also available on fast chargers etc.

Thank you, I noticed that the Google phones on giffgaff all seem to be out of stock now. I may need to move a little bit faster when I see what I want

Not the Rapha Gore-tex jacket I was expecting! I’m hoping for a bargain on the Trail baggy MTB-style jacket…

Love my Osmo Action 4.

I'm hoping it will live up to the reviews from about a year ago, I assume the price cuts are due to the Newer Version being out.

Yeah the 5 has been out for a while now. I've been very impressed so far, filming MiniMonkey on rides and adventures and a bit of POV bike stuff to remind me how slow I am...

Osmo Action 4 is absolutely brilliant! I compared to a few other brands and didn’t think I needed the 5. Such a good camera, brilliant features too. You’ll love it

Godamnit! Did I jump the gun again?

Just been playing with it, this thing’s brilliant! But I do need a new (faster) Memory card, it’s still doing 1080p but warning me it might not fancy recording, I’m just not going to try 4k until a new card arrives I think.

Yeah it needs a decent card for 4k. Have a good play with the different stabilisation modes and formats - different settings work better for different things.

Having struggled to get a set of tyres off some wheels recently (WTB tyres and rims, with insert - couldn't even break the bead) I took a punt on these..

Vittoria Air Liner Tyre Inserts Tool

..and they're great! Bead off in a few minutes.

About a tenner less than elsewhere on the Decathlon link above.. and a lot less than the Park Tool BMT-1!

Those brakes worked a treat for my wife on her hire electric bike in Les Gets last summer. No complaints whatsoever.

Reductions on Reserve wheelsets: https://uk.reservewheels.com/collections/black-friday

Website's a bit frustrating as you've got to look into individual models then select the wheelsize and freehub combo to see if they're in stock and at what price, but some decent savings, e.g. i9 Hydra 29er carbon 30HD for £950. Also deals on alloy rim models.

I've got too many wheelsets already so not for me!

I got Fillmore's in the Stif closing down sale, and I never thought I would so be pleased with valves. They're great 🙂

@desperatebicycle, reading reviews of these I've seen mention they don't always play nicely with some pump heads or pressure gauges. Have you experienced any issues using a digital pressure gauge with these?

I use a Topeak Smart D2 digital gauge before all rides and it'd be a PITA if that wasn't possible.
