PSA: Vitus FS ebikes from £2,229 (30% off across range)

It's 30% off all the Vitus E-Mythique models and already a pretty good price. Might fall into the category of cheap enough to buy to play on this winter/get me out and over this injury/haul children round trail centres and make life more fun...

If I hadn't just bought a motorbike (for £700 less than this) I'd go full send and get one of these... www.chainreactioncycles.com/p/vitus-e-sommet-297-vrx-mountain-bike

Very tempted at that price, even though they are too small (though it seems ebikes overwhelmingly are) I wouldn't notice right?

Picked up the base E-Sommet nearly a year ago when they were on offer. It's been ace.

The Mythique LT is near identical geometry but has a Bafang motor that you can buy easily if it blows up out of warranty. Absolute bargain at £2300, even if you did swap forks and a few other bits down the line.

I have been on the brink but I'm trying to be sensible with money. Work has a cycle to work scheme limit of 3k which I'd use but I'm in my probationary period so can't for another 6 weeks.

I think the Sommet for around 4k is a bargain too but it's shimano motor puts me off.

Trust me to watch that video after they sell out of my size. Probably a blessing in disguise. Great value at discount prices.

Is this correct about bike sizing?

I have a large Whyte e160, my 12 year son rides it fine with about an inch of seat post. But he looks like it's a long reach to the bars. Wife had a small 46 and he only just could ride it. Thought it was weird he was so comfortable on it.

I got one - they had similar discounts on the e sommet Autumn/Winter last year and sold out quickly every time stock came in - they'll probably be back in stock and on offer again soon

That I wouldn't notice?

I'll be honest a year or so ago probably not but as much because they've always [least ways since I was about 13] been too small, I just assumed that's what a bike felt like.

Having now actually ridden a bike that fits, yes I'd notice.

Mine has arrived missing the keys to remove the battery

I've been in touch the their customer support who asked me to provide photos of the various boxes which were included which I've done, but since then I've heard nothing further

At least two of the boxes were poorly sealed and as the box has carry holes it's possible they dropped out in transit

Assuming they don't resolve it does anyone know how best to get some replacement keys done - the lock has a four digit number stamped on it
